Too Faced Review

So I know I'm  behind with this!!! Oops. Anyway, I was super excited when I got the delivery with my brush set. At first I looked at it and was a little disappointed, it wasn't what I thought I ordered. However, it grew on me! I felt the brushes at first and thought they were to flimsy and soft but I was wrong!!!! They are super soft but still allow you to apply the color without a mess. I use them as my everyday travel makeup bag now! It's perfect! I can fit concealer, a few shadows, powder, a comb and my Claritin!!! I love that the brushes have a place so they aren't just laying in with the makeup!!! 

Overall I say PERFECTION!!!! Everyone needs this for a small bag to just throw in your purse with all your beauty needs!!! 

Lehigh charter Arts Fashion Show

I just had the privilege of working with some amazing young upcoming designers. The kids did some talented creative looks. All in all I think the event and runway was a huge success. I worked closely with a super talented young designer named Justin. He was so laid back and relaxed the day of it was inspiring.

Justin was very open to suggestions on styling and makeup. He had a braid for each girl in mind but was giving me full creative control around that. 

The make up was a similar approach, he gave guidelines as far as colors he was comfortable with but pretty open to different techniques. 

  

Style Wars 2013

This past weekend marked another year down for the annual Charity Event hosted by Adopt A Pig foundation and Joseph Anyhony Retreat Spa and Salon. This year the event moved to the glamorous Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia.  We are in our fifth year and it was a major success. 39 piggies were adopted by the end of the night. 

The event was emceed by the amazing Jennipher Fredericks of Fox News. We had a special guest appearance and performance by Jade Starling. Saks Fifth Avenue sponsored several of the looks for our competition for the second year in a row. Tony Lukes even became part of giving this year and donated to help the children. 

There were five teams, the only guidelines given are fall fashion 2013. This is a high energy couple of months prepping everything and creating ideas and looks. We never know what the judges are looking for cohesively. 

We had a team use the ever so popular hunger games as inspiration. 

The speech that was delivered by Michael Gaglioti was phenomenal. As far as a fantasy theme is concerned, I think they had it in the bag! 

We also had a Japanese inspired theme, which ended up winning in the end. 

Not very everyday wearable, however the judges loved this collaboration the best! They had a lot of makeup help from one if their very talented models. 

Next we had a more wearable street inspiration. Following the ever so trending cat eye and bold lips. 

The stylists work so hard putting on this show. Everyone did an amazing job and are very talented. 100% of the proceeds benefit the charity. I will update with a final donation once the numbers add up.

Fall!

Fall is finally here! My favorite time for beauty and fashion. I love the colors, fashions, foods.  Everything is so inspiring. Berry is the lip color that's been popping up all over. We've all stayed away from this in past but it's here and all over. Make up lines are coming out with different shades for all different skin tones. With the lips being so bold the eyes have taken on a more simple look. We have been favoring the cat eye look recently. 

Just remember all trends are not for everyone. You also don't want to try all trends at the same time. Take a trend you feel comfortable with and make it work with your style.
